Detective
Comics #776 which features the first part of my little Batman
epic is currently being solicited in September's Previews.
To my wife's dismay, she received full credit for writing
the story. For some strange legal reason, DC would not allow
me to have credit for both, art and writing. To get around
the problem, they gave the writing credit to my wife. I don't
understand why they had to do that, but then again, I'll never
understand big corporations.
I
got a big kick out of the description, "The Batman story
that will shock every reader." Well, I hope the Batman
fans are not too shocked as to send me death threats for defacing
this beloved character. It should be quite interesting to
see how they react to this one. By the way, there are a couple
of mistakes in the description. They misspelled my name with
an accent over the "e" in Michel, and the story
is 5 parts not 4.
Watch
for the beginning of "Spore" on November
6, in comic stores everywhere!

At
Comic-Con 2002, I met Todd Tochioka who manages a wrestling
and pop culture website called workingsnug.com. A couple
of weeks after the con, he contacted me for an interview.
